Andrew Tonkovich

“A face made for radio!”

Bibliocracy Radio is a weekly half-hour literary arts program on Pacifica Radio’s Southern California station KPFK 90.7  FM.  Hosted by teacher, activist, writer and Santa Monica Review editor Andrew Tonkovich, the show features readings by and discussion with authors of contemporary literary fiction, nonfiction, memoir, poetry and cultural criticism.  Recent guests have included novelists Nicholson Baker, Jerry Stahl and Susan Minot, award-winning short story writer Shawn Vestal, nonfiction chronicler Tom Zoellner on trains, atheist polemicist-hero Peter Boghossian, poet Sandra Beasley, LA historian Brenda Stevenson and a biographer of singer-poet Leonard Cohen, pointing to Tonkovich’s delightfully eclectic (and eccentric) tastes, enthusiasms and interests.
